Mrs. Lena Evelyn Robinson, 91, of the Boones Neck Community in Supply died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013 at SECU Hospice House, Bolivia.
Mrs. Robinson was born in Brunswick County on Dec. 7, 1921, and was the daughter of the late Preston and Rebecca Lewis Phelps. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Shell Point Baptist Church. She was the wife of the late Larry C. Robinson and was also preceded in death by two sons, Bennie Robinson and Donald Robinson, and a daughter, Lena Mae Robinson.
She is survived by a son, Thomas E. Robinson and wife Sandra of Supply; four daughters, Alice Carter of Franklin, Ky., Judy Lockamy of Supply, Doris McDuffie and husband Bobby of Supply and Mary Clemmons of Supply; daughter in-law, Cathy Robinson of Supply; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, at Shell Point Baptist Church with the Revs. Larry Milliken and Tommy Inman officiating. Burial will follow in Silent Grove Cemetery.
Grandsons of Mrs. Robinson will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, at White Funeral Service, 3660 Express Drive, Shallotte, and other times from the home of Thomas and Sandra Robinson, 2468 Boones Neck Road, Supply.
