Pahl, Charles Emil "Charlie" - Supply  
Charles Emil "Charlie" Pahl, 86, of Lakes of Lockwood in Supply, passed away with his family by his side Monday, June 22, 2015. Survived by his wife Pam, they recently celebrated 65 years of marriage. Charlie is also survived by four children, Melinda Pahl (John Maestri), Charles E. "Chuck" Jr. (Pat Pahl), Prescott "Scott" (Carmen Pahl) and Bryan Phelps (Lynn Jaquess Pahl); their eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; his sister, Marie Halbin; and his niece, Marcie Faulkner. He was preceded in death by his parents.?Charlie was born in Babylon, Long Island, N.Y., in 1928. Throughout his life Charlie loved to fish on the boats he built named "Gizmo."?Charlie spent 32 years with New York State Department of Transportation as a real estate officer heading offices in Albany, Hauppauge, Long Island and the World Trade Center in New York. In 1981, he and his wife Pam moved to Holden Beach where he served as interim town manager, building inspector and for several years as a volunteer for hurricane evacuations and damage assessments. Charlie was an avid gardener tending to new plants and his green lawns. His fun sense of humor will be greatly missed by not only his family but by the good friends he made and helped through the years. Patterson, Devon Grayson - Ocean Isle Beach  
Devon Grayson Patterson, 74, of Ocean Isle Beach, died Friday, July 17, 2015, at the home of his son. Born March 26, 1941, in Davidson County, Devon was the son of the late Daniel and Dorothy Ingram Patterson. Devon is survived by two children, Karin Watson Bond of High Point and Michael Watson of Lexington; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Larry Patterson, Vance Patterson, Vicki Hilton and Don Patterson. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, officiated by the Rev. William Seawell. Entombment followed in Oakwood Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family received friends Monday evening, July 20, at the funeral home. Poye, Ellen Mary (Berkland) - Shallotte  
Ellen Mary Berkland Poye, 74, of Shallotte, died Sunday, July 19, 2015, at home. Born in Queens, N.Y., on Oct. 14, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Raymond and Mary Helen Marinack Berkland. Surviving are her daughters, Susan Ellen Chase and Donna Maria Meyers; a son, Anthony R. Poye; and two grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 4 p.m., Wednesday, July 22, at the Brunswick Funeral Service chapel. Entombment will follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens Community Mausoleum. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Price-Rogers, Suzie Mae - Shallotte  
Suzie Mae Price-Rogers, 68, of Shallotte, passed away at home surrounded by family on Sunday July 19, 2015. Suzie Mae was born to the late Willie Anthony Price and Alene Hill Price of Shallotte. She is survived by her husband, King Solomon Rogers of Shallotte; her sister, Jeraline Hill of Shallotte; her son, Rayburn Price of Reidsville; and two granddaughters. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 24, at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 7730 Mount Zion Church Road, Longwood. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the services from noon to 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Grissett Cemetery on Mulberry Road in Shallotte. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to John H. Shaw's Son Funeral Home LLC in Wilmington.
