James A. Pringle, 79, went home Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice House in Bolivia.
Born Nov. 19, 1933, in Methuen, Mass., he was the son of the late James Wilson and Ruth C. Rothera Pringle.
Jim was a graduate of Merrimack College in Andover, Mass., and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was on the parish council at St. Stephens Episcopal Church and active in the Brunswick Plantation community. Jim was a huge Boston Red Sox fan, a loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Mr. Pringle is survived by his son, David A. Pringle of Stewart, Fla.; daughter, Judith Gouldin of Calabash; brother, Arthur Pringle of New Hampshire; and two grandchildren, Joshua and Adam Gouldin. He is predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Barbara C. Pringle.
A memorial service was Monday, Aug. 5, at St. Stephens Episcopal Church in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. Inurnment followed in the church columbarium niche.
