Joseph Franklin Kisch Jr., 68, of Supply, formerly of Stirling, N.J., died Monday, March 31, 2014, at his home.
Mr. Kisch was born Sept. 21, 1945, in Summit, N.J., a son of the late Joseph Franklin and Martha Picard Kisch. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Kisch.
He was the owner and operator of Joe Kisch & Sons, where he spent 25 years in cabinetmaking, kitchen design and woodworking. He later was employed by Long Hill Township Public Schools for 10 years.
Mr. Kisch was a lifetime member of Stirling Fire Department, board member of Passaic Township Little League, member of the Republican Club, and a scout leader with Boy Scouts of America. He was an avid sports fan supporting the New York Yankees, Jets and NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt No. 3. He truly enjoyed nature and spending time with his wife and children.
Surviving are his wife, Ann Gates Kisch; two sons, Joseph F. Kisch III (Libby) of Asheville and David Brian Kisch (Trisha) of Gillette, N.J.; daughter, Melissa Wheat (Rob) of Bar Harbor, Maine; brother, Charles Kisch of North Plainfield, N.J.; sister, Martha Kisch of Supply; and three grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at a later date at the Shrine of St. Joseph in Stirling.
