Margaret Faye Atkinson Sova of Supply died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at her home with her family by her side.
Born in Salemburg on Feb. 12, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Basil R. and Thelma Brock Atkinson Sr.
She was formerly an honorary member of the Oak Island Chapter of the Eastern Star, a legal secretary in Southport, and a real estate broker in Oak Island. She was retired from the state government in Raleigh.
She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and friend to many.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce Sova of the home; three daughters, Christina L. Newton of Charlotte, Ingrid C. Larsen of Supply, and Ericka L. Jarvis of Oak Island; a sister, Flora Ann Williamson if Fayetteville; grandchildren, Phillip L. Newton, Devinne M. Carmichael, Victor A. Jarvis III, Mark Price and Emily Jarvis.
A homecoming service is set for 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, in St. James Episcopal Church.
Burial will follow at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, in LaFayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at Brunswick Funeral Service in Shallotte, with a prayer vigil at 7 p.m.
