Marvin Lee Evans, 75, of Ash, died Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, in the Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center.
Born in Ash, July 11, 1938, he was a son of the late Ezekial A. and Elneta Register Evans. He was a retired project supervisor in the commercial construction business and worked across the southeast. He was also a farmer. Marvin was raised in and around Myrtle Head Baptist Church where he attended most of his life. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Lucy R. Evans of Ash; two sons, Gregory L. Evans of Ash and M. Lance Evans of Ash; three sisters, Mabel Evans Mooney of Bolivia, Carolyn Evans and Marie Milliken both of Thomasville; two sisters-in-law, Frances Evans and Emma Ross, both of Ash; five grandsons, Mason, Zeke, Jordan, Nicholas and Jackson Evans; a granddaughter, Natalie Evans; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m., Monday, Feb. 17, in the Myrtle Head Baptist Church. Interment followed in the Myrtle Head Cemetery.
The family received friends Sunday evening, Feb. 16, at Brunswick Funeral Service in Shallotte.
