Roberta Lois Frisby, 72, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at her home in Supply. She was born in Park Ridge, Ill., a daughter of the late Robert and Lillian Seeger Diesness. She was an avid NASCAR and country music fan, and a dog lover. She enjoyed bowling and made many lifelong friends.
Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Larry Frisby; daughters, Debbie Long of Supply, Chris Hewett and her husband, Gary, of Shallotte and Susie Babson and her husband, Scott, of Ash; a stepdaughter, Jeannie Sheriff and husband, Mark, of Florida; sisters, Barbara Wagner and her husband, John, of Michigan, Mickey Merit of Michigan; a sister-in-law, Sheila Cheers and husband, Ronnie, of Shallotte; grandchildren, Kelly White, Brett Babson, Alex Hewett, Benjamin Hewett, Dawn Clemmons and Savannah Long; great-grandchildren, Ayden, Rhyleigh and Chase; a very special niece and nephew, Peg and Tim Deaton; and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, in the Chapel of Brunswick Funeral Service in Shallotte, by the Rev. Jason Benton. Interment followed in Brunswick Memorial Gardens in Shallotte.
The family received friends prior to the service at the funeral home.
Casket bearers were Brett Babson, Benjamin Hewett, Dadent Hayes, L. R. Hayes, John Kinlaw, Teddy Wilson and Tim Deaton.
