Shelton Dale Inman

Mr. Shelton Dale Inman, 72, of Ash, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at his home.
Mr. Inman was born in Brunswick County on Oct. 12, 1940, and was the son of Eloise Simmons Inman Chappell of Shallotte and the late Zeno B. Inman who passed away when Shelton was a child. Later Eloise remarried the late Jack Chappell whom Shelton considered a father.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine Inman.
He was employed with National Spinning and Dupont and prior to his retirement as a quality control inspector with CP&L.
He was a member of Myrtle Head Baptist Church. He was a charter member of the Waccamaw Lions Club and regularly attended the Ash Senior Center. He was an avid gardener and fisherman.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Martha Duncan Inman; a son, Billy Inman and wife Ginny of Ocean Isle Beach; a daughter, Delores Wolfe and husband Jimmy of Hampstead; grandchildren, Scarlett Wolfe, Christopher Wolfe, Samuel Wolfe, Morgan Inman, Madison Inman; great-grandchildren, Claire Wolfe and Raymond "Trey" Hughes; two brothers, William Chappell and wife Linda of Ash, and Chris Chappell and wife Delinda of Calabash; a sister, Patsy Hickman and husband Marvin of New Port Richey, Fla.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at Myrtle Head Baptist Church with the Rev. Elbert Braswell and the Rev. Wayne Faulk officiating. Burial will follow in the Bill Inman Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Adam Evans, Neal Evans, Delane Chappell, Matthew Chappell, Neil King and Greg Bland.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Evans, Timmy Evans, Keith Evans, Dewayne Evans and Brent Evans.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at White Funeral Service, 3660 Express Dr., Shallotte and other times at the residence.
