James E. "JR" Reisdorf, 68, of Palmyra, N.Y., died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Marie Reisdorf; and sister, Jean King.
Mr. Reisdorf is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Merow-Reisdorf; daughters, Andrea Hampton and Christie (Shawn) Ingram; grandchildren, Forrest Demeurisse, Gavan Demeurisse and Torrin Ingram; brothers, Ronald (Linda) Reisdorf, Donald Reisdorf and Dennis (Sharon) Reisdorf; several nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.
Jim proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a veteran of Vietnam. After being honorably discharged from the U.S. Marines, he continued his service to his country in the Army Reserves.
Friends are invited to join Jim's family for his memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 Route 31, Macedon, NY, where military honors will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation, wwiaf.org or the Macedon Public Library in Macedon, N.Y.
