Jeffrey Roy Weeks , 43, of Fayetteville, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2012.
He was a graduate of Pine Forest High School and UNCG. After retiring as a high school educator, he authored several books and wrote a weekly fishing column for The Brunswick Beacon. Jeff was a contributing author for Yahoo and Examiner.com and maintained his own fishing blogs on the Internet.
He was a avid fisherman who loved to fish under the bridge at Sunset Beach. He had excellent culinary skills, which he used to prepare his "catch of the day". Baseball and football were a passion of his and he never missed a Braves or Panther game.
Jeff was the loving father of two daughters, Elanor and Zelda; and a wonderful son and brother.
He is survived by his father, Dr. Donnie E. Weeks; sister, Windy Remer and husband, Jimmy; nephew, Matthew; niece, Samantha; grandmother, Lula Weeks Messer; and uncle, Tony D. Weeks.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Michelle Denton.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Cromartie–Miller & Lee Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Preedy officiating. The family will receive friends after service.
