Mr. Dale Wayne Suggs, 68, of Supply, died Monday Dec. 31, 2012, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Suggs was born in Brunswick County on March 6, 1944, and was the son of the late William Percy Suggs and Helen Odell Evans Suggs.
Dale was a very loving and caring person and was always concerned about others and putting their well being before his own. He was a friend to anyone he ever met.
He was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.
He loved to travel. His two favorite destinations were Las Vegas and Hawaii.
Mr. Suggs retired from Corning of Wilmington and he also owned and operated Dynamic Water Systems of Wilmington.
He was a 32nd-degree Mason.
He is survived by his sons, Dale Anthony "Tony" Suggs of Fuquay Varina, and Nicholas Dale Suggs of Washington, D.C.; two grandchildren, Kristin Dale Koliadko and Kelly Marie Reithmeyer; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Roger Zale Suggs of Supply; and a sister, Myrna Bennett of Supply.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, 494 Mount Pisgah Road in Supply. The service will be officiated by the Rev. Dr. Foyd Bennett. Burial will follow in the Riley Sellers-Cumbee Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at White Funeral Service, 3660 Express Dr., Shallotte.
