Earl J. Dushane, 67, of Calabash, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter in Bolivia.
Born on Jan. 30, 1945, in Albany, N.Y., he was the son of the late Cyrille J. and Clara H. Terry Dushane.
Mr. Dushane was Past Exalted Ruler of the Calabash Elks Post No. 2679, a member of Calabash VFW Post No. 7288, and Calabash American Legion Post No. 503.
He was an avid golfer loved to play pool and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Mavis M. King Dushane; son, Brian Aldrich; daughter, Lisa Phillips; three grandchildren, Thomas Phillips, Brittney and Courtney Aldrich; numerous brothers and sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at American Legion Post No. 503 at a later date.
