Mr. Edgar Lee Caison Sr., 89, of Supply, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at SECU Hospice House in Bolivia.

Mr. Caison was born in Brunswick County on Aug. 24, 1923, and was the son of the late James and Ethel Cheers Caison.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Letha Robinson Caison; his son, Edgar Lee Caison Jr.; grandson, Timothy Caison; two brothers, Goley Caison and Rudolph Caison; and a sister, Beatrice Caison Ludlum.
He was tugboat captain with International Paper Company for many years.
He is survived by three brothers, James E. Caison of Supply, Thomas Caison of Shallotte, and Linsey Caison of Denton; a sister, Mary Jane Caison Hewett of Supply; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Friday, March 1, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Gerald Kirby and the Rev. Tuddie Dixon officiating. Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jeffrey Caison, Dewayne Varnam, Danny Fulford, Larry DeStefano Jr., John Perry Robinson and Phillip Robinson.
The family received friends at Oak Grove Baptist Church on Friday one hour prior to the service.
