Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Wilson, 70, of Supply, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, in Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center in Bolivia.

She was born in Newport News, Va., on May 12, 1942, a daughter of Elsie Rogers Lawson of Fredericksburg, Va., and the late Alric Aaron Gore and the late Carlton Elisha Lawson.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Ronald L. "Ron" Wilson; sons, Michael Keith Wilson, and Kenneth Scott Wilson and his wife Dawn of Ellicott City, Md.; a daughter, Kristine Leigh Wilson Fletcher of Arbutus, Md.; a brother, Carlton Rogers Lawson and his wife Carol Linda of Spotsylvania, Va.; grandchildren, Brittany Ann Wilson, Anthony Scott Wilson, Nicholas Wilson, Jack Fletcher and Sam Fletcher.
She moved to the Holden Beach area in 1998 after retiring as an administrative assistant in the Howard County, Md., School System.
She was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church where she served as secretary to the administrative council. She was a member of the Sharon Senior Lunch Bunch, the Lockwood Folly Women's Club, the Lockwood Folly Ladies' Golf Association, Dollie's Red Hats, the Mah Jong Club and the Book Club of Lockwood.
She loved being a wife, mother and grandmother. She loved rainstorms, hugs from anyone, reading, puzzles, food, traveling throughout the world, and her churches, Sharon United Methodist in Supply, and Bethany United Methodist in Ellicott City, Md.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Sharon United Methodist Church by the Rev. Eddie Hill. Burial was in the church cemetery.
The family received friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, at Sharon United Methodist Church.
The family would like to express gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Birgit Arb, Dr. Hendrik van Deventer, Dr. Paul Kamitsuka and the nurses at OPSU in New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
