Joseph Clifford Lambert passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at the home of his daughter, surrounded by love and respect in Ravenna, Ohio.
He was formerly of Lake Grove, N.Y., and Calabash.
He was born on March 10, 1938, to the late William and Helen (nee Cusack) of Whitestone, N.Y.
He was the loving husband of the late Patricia T. (Kellerman-Williams); dear father of Patricia (Jack) Meadows and the late Michael Williams; and grandfather of the late Jack Meadows Jr.
He retired from the FDNY after a 30-year career in Engine Co. 324.
He was the adored brother of William (Barbara), Richard, Mary, Ruth, and the late Walter, Helen and Margaret; and was a beloved uncle to numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Graveside memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Pinelawn Memorial Gardens in Farmingdale, N.Y.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Uniformed Firefighters Association, c/o UFA Widow's and Children's Fund, 204 East 23rd St., New York, NY 10010 or a local hospice organization.
