Kenneth Lohr (PAID, FREE FLAG)
Mr. Kenneth L. Lohr, 81, of Mebane, died at the Hospice Home in Burlington at 8:40 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, following four months of declining health.
A native of Randolph County, he was the son of Hubert D. Lohr and Bercelia Heilig Lohr, both deceased.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving during the Korean Conflict.
Kenneth retired from the heating and air conditioning business. He was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include his companion of 18 years, Emma Overman of the home; daughter, Cynthia Stanley and husband Frankie of Shallotte; two sons, Kenny Lohr and wife Carol of Newport, and Keith Lohr and wife Jackie of Graham; sister, Judy Johns of Longview, Texas; brothers, Jack Lohr of Greensboro, Donald Lohr of Richmond, Va., William Lohr of Kilgore, Texas, Earl Lohr of Gladewater, Texas, Larry Lohr of Longview, Texas and Garland Lohr of Randleman; grandchildren, Meredith and Dustin Stanley and Haley Lohr; and great-grandchild, Khloe Suggs.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, in the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham by Brian Hurdle, chaplain of the Red Knights. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and at other times at the residence of Keith and Jackie Lohr, 3134 Swepsonville-Saxapahaw Road, Graham, NC.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice for their love and care for Mr. Lohr.
