Kenneth LeRoy Keil, 71, of Calabash died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018.
He was a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., and a son of Paul Henry Keil and Florence Sievers Keil. He was a man of principle and dignity. His family meant everything to him. He was a beloved husband, father, Grandpa and PaPa. He enjoyed being near the water and fishing. Before retirement he was a steamfitter for 40 years. He was a member of Calabash VFW Post 7288 and a member of the Carolina Shores Bowling League. He was an Army veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Edward Keil, and sister, Barbara Joyce Miller.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Lois DeColfmacker Keil; son, Kenneth Paul Keil (Kimberly); daughters, Tracyann Glock (Walter), Patricia Keil (Kaylee) and Susan Rochefort (Kevin); and 10 grandchildren.
Services were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 8, at Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte. The family received friends one hour prior to the service.
