Marion Baker Corbin, 90, the widow of New Jersey attorney Robert Dunham Corbin, departed this life on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Tidelands Community Hospice.

Mrs. Corbin was born the daughter of Clinton Mansfield Baker and Jessie Duncan Baker on Feb. 14, 1922, in Rahway, N.J.
She was a graduate of Rahway High School and Ballard Secretarial School of New York City.
During World War II she was employed with the British Air Commission in New York City and thereafter, had positions with Merck Pharmaceutical Company in Rahway, N.J.
During the years she worked in a secretarial position for companies such as New Brunswick YMCA, Rahway Public School System and the town of Newton, N.J.
She was active in the Red Cross and was a member of the Girl Scouts where she was a Mariner and earned the Golden Eagle award.
She was a member of the Ilderan Outing Club of Rahway and the Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club.
In 1982 she moved to Calabash where she lived for 16 years before retiring to Pawleys Island, S.C.
She leaves behind a sister-in-law, Lorraine P. Corbin of Pompton Plains, N.J.; and a niece, Jeannie Howe of Baltimore, Md.
A private memorial service will take place at a later date.
