Mitchell A. Savage, 63, of Supply died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter in Whiteville.
Mr. Savage was born in Bladen County on March 23, 1955, and was the son of the late James Adolph Savage and Athleen Hayes Savage. He owned and operated Savage Rock and Tile and was an avid pool player and a member of the APA Pool League CCAPA Group. He coached Dixie Youth Baseball and was an R.A. counselor at Trinity Baptist Church in Whiteville.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a brother, Gary Savage.
He is survived by Jackie Savage; significant other, Shirley Savage; daughters, Michelle Register and husband, Matthew, and Lynn Coggins and husband, Billy, all of Supply; three sons, Wesley Davis and wife, Teresa, of Ward, S.C., Gary Davis and wife, Beth, of Leesville, S.C., Daniel Cody and wife, Melisa, of Stanley; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service was held at 5 p.m. Saturday Aug. 4, at White Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel, 603 Ocean Highway, Bolivia with the Rev. Ronald Gaskins officiating.
Friends were invited to a time of visitation with the family from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at the home, 2525 Bessemer Drive, Supply.
