Patricia Marie (Samoluk) Rene, born in Boston on St. Patrick's Day in 1951, passed away while swimming at Sunset Beach, Tuesday, June 10, 2014.
Pat's family moved to Framingham, Mass., during her elementary school years and she graduated from Framingham North High School in 1968 and from North Adams State College in 1972. She lived in Bennington, Vt., for 35 years and relocated to Carolina Shores in 2006 to be closer to her beloved ocean.
Pat was a schoolteacher for 30 years with kindergarten being her specialty and passion. She taught in Shaftsbury, Vt. Pat was an amazing wife, mother and dear friend to many.
Pat is survived by her husband of 42 years, Paul; three daughters, Danielle Rene Quinn and husband, Mike, of Cary, Andrea (Rene) Rose and husband, Adam, of Wilmington, and Nicole Rene Novena and husband, Max, of Ponte Vedra, Fla.; three granddaughters, Camryn, Kenna and Reese Quinn, and was expecting her first grandson in August; her mother, Lillian (Dunn) Samoluk of Harwich, Mass.; sister, Carol (Samoluk) Dennington and husband, Roy, of Clinton, Mass.; brothers, Walter T. Samoluk and wife, Shelley, of South Dennis, Mass., George Samoluk and wife, Patricia, of Sandwich, Mass., Thomas Samoluk and wife, Carrie, of Andover, Mass., and Robert Samoluk of South Dennis and New York City. Pat also left numerous nieces and nephews whom she treasured and who loved her dearly. Her father, Walter C. Samoluk, preceded Pat in death.
A private service of remembrance is scheduled for Sunday, June 22, with her family and friends on Cape Cod, Mass.
