Travis Eugene Elliott, 74, of Supply, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.

Mr. Elliott was born in Columbus County on June 7, 1938. He was the youngest son of the late Tilghman Elliott and Martha Cain Elliott.
He was also preceded in death by his oldest brother, Harvey Elliott, and his youngest daughter, Martha-Dean Mikell Elliott.
Mr. Elliott graduated from Cerro Gordo High School in Cerro Gordo, and was employed for 35 years by International Paper Co. in Riegelwood until he retired in June 2000.
He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 54 years, Joyce Floyd Elliott. They have a son, Travis Elliott; three daughters, Lisa Kipp Snell, Shannon Patterson, and Stephanie Jo Lindsey.
He is survived by 11 grandchildren, Courtney Snell Nygaard, Jared Snell, Dana Elliott, Melina Elliott, Kaitlyn Elliott, Alisia Elliott, Kale Patterson, Kira Patterson, Kaylee Owens, Maya Lindsey and Mahkhi Hewett. He had four great-grandchildren, Travis Nygaard, Kaia Nygaard, and Taylor and Brylee Snell.
His older brother, Talmadge Elliott, survives as do a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Mr. Elliott was a member of Gospel Center Baptist Church in Varnamtown, where Dr. Foyd Bennett led a memorial celebration of his homegoing on Saturday, Dec. 1.
