Vivian June Myers, 91, of Shallotte, died peacefully Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at Autumn Care.

Born May 5, 1922, in Altoona, Pa., she was one of nine children born to the late Ralph Denver and Mona Fink Eichelberger. She was an executive secretary for the CIA in Washington during World War II.
She was a member of Seaside United Methodist Church in Sunset Beach.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, John E. Myers; they were married for 67 years. It's comforting to know that they are at peace and together again in heaven.
Surviving is their daughter, Judy L. Myers of Bolivia; her brother, Edwin Eichelberger and wife, Rose Marie, of Loris, S.C.; numerous nieces and nephews; and her faithful canine companion, Chelsea.
No local services are planned. An inurnment will be conducted for both Vivian J. and John E. Myers at a later date in Mayodan.
