William Anderson Wilson, 81, of Carolina Shores, died Monday, July 29, 2013. He was born Feb. 29, 1932, to the late Charles and Elizabeth Wilson. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Everett F. Larson during the Korean War. After an honorable discharge he was employed by VITELCO in St. Thomas of the U.S. Virgin Islands, New York Telephone, AT&T and Lucent Technologies in New York. After retiring from the corporate world, he owned and operated Wilson P&E in Ulster County, N.Y. Following his second retirement he relocated to Calabash, where he was active in the Elks and the American Legion. He was also an avid golfer who truly enjoyed the sport.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Judie Bartroff Wilson, a sister Jane Hayes (David) of Marlton, N.J., sons Billy, Brian (Brenda), and Christopher (Cindy), all of Saugerties, N.Y., Jonathan of Milton, Vermont, and Charles of Pottsville, Pa., two beloved stepdaughters Kristen Krom (George) of Hyde Park, N.Y., and Michele Miller (Stuart) of Saugerties, N.Y. He was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
