John Marlin "Tinner" Moore, 85, of Oak Island, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013 at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick in Bolivia. Born in Harrisburg, Pa., on April 19, 1928, he was the youngest child of the late Theodore and Anna Basehore Moore.
He is survived by daughters, Leslie Spearman and Laurie Rhodes; son, Lee Moore; four grandchildren; a step-grandson; two great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at Messiah Moravian Church, 1401 N. Peace Haven Road, Winston-Salem. The family will greet friends an hour before the service.
