Diamond Carl Hansen, 64, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 at his home in Wiggins, Colorado.
Diamond was born December 3, 1948, to Carl E. and Mabel M. (Kroger) Hansen in Akron, Colorado, the sixth of nine children.
Diamond enjoyed the excitement and adventure of drilling for oil. As a teenager he started working in the oilfields and he continued throughout his life.
Diamond rode his motorcycle and traveled North America extensively in his youth. He played football in high school, and loved following the Denver Broncos and other sports. He enjoyed western movies and TV shows.
Diamond married Gloria JoAnn on June 6, 1994. They lived in Brush and Wiggins, CO.
Diamond is survived by his loving wife, Gloria JoAnn; sons, Troy and Aaron; daughter, Tina; granddaughter, Sarah; sisters, Grace and Bonnie; brother, Ray; and numerous other cousins, nephews and nieces.
Diamond is preceded in death by his parents; infant sisters, Bertha and Pearl; brothers, Walter, Fred and Henry; half brothers, Oliver and Ernest, and half sisters, Mildred, Iva and Martha.
Viewing will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2013, at the Heer Mortuary, 225 E. Platte Ave, Fort Morgan.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2012, at Prairie Winds Foursquare Church, 118 Dickson St., Wiggins, Colorado.
