Hope S. Snider (Chamberlain, Durham, Barnett, Nicks), passed away May 26, 2014, in Littleton, CO.
She was born January 4, 1923, the daughter of Charles Worthy and Lucille Snider.
She worked at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center, Brush, for a number of years and was active in the Brush VFW
Auxiliary. She and husband Carl Nicks performed in a band that traveled throughout the area.
Her husbands were Edmund Sterling Chamberlian II (deceased), Orlo Edwin Durham (deceased), John Barnett (deceased), and Carl Nicks (deceased).
Hope was mother to five children, and is survived by two sons, Edmund Sterling Chamberlain III, and Edwin Bert Durham, a daughter, Katherine Marie Chamberlain, one stepson, James Barnett, and three stepdaughters, Ginger Lynd (Durham), Cathy Lords (Barnett) and Carla Nicks. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Hope loved them all and spent her life working to support and nurture them. Her kind and gentle presence will be missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
Her earthly remains have been cremated. Plans are underway for memorial services to be held in Littleton, Colorado.
