Wallace I. Salzman, age 90, of Lake Havasu City, AZ passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013, after a brief illness.
He was born on September 2, 1922, in Leapolis, WI to William and Clara Salzman.
He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army and was awarded a Purple Heart decoration.
He and his wife, Elayne, lived in Brush for about 25 years from the late 40's to 1971. They operated Salzman's Bootery, a women's dress shop, a children's clothing store and a retail liquor store while in Brush.
In 1971 they moved to Lake Havasu City and he retired from the Lake Havasu City Water Division.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elayne, and two brothers, Earl and Roy.
He is survived by two sons, Dennis (Christine) Salzman of Overland Park, KS and Stanley (Valorie) Salzman of Loveland CO, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A visitation and rosary will be on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Beacon of Hope Hospice or Global Care Assisted Living, providers of excellent care, are suggested.
