Bernard Allen "Bernie" Clark passed from this life on April 28, 2013, at the Hospice of Northern Colorado at North Colorado Medical Center.|
He was born to Palmer and Esther (Johnson) Clark on January 13, 1952, in Brush, CO.
Bernie grew up in Hillrose, CO, and graduated from Brush High School in 1970. After high school, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University in 1974.
On March 17, 1973, he married Nancy Tscheschke in Fort Collins. They divorced in 2012 after over 39 years of marriage.
After graduation, Bernie and Nancy moved to Greeley, where Bernie became an agent with the Farmers Insurance Company in 1976. He devoted the next 37 years to his agency.
He was active in the United Farmers Agents Association, and was a national officer of UFAA on several occasions He was also a member of Ducks Unlimited, Greeley and Evans Elks Lodges, and the Masonic Lodge of Windsor. He enjoyed hiking, golfing, hunting, and exercising with a tight-knit group of friends at Work Out West.
Bernie was known as a loyal friend and a caring companion, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his son, Major Jason Clark, U.S. Army, his wife Kelly and their two daughters, Faith and Abigail, of Burke, VA; daughter, Jennifer Clark of Boston, MA; brother, Dr. Curtis Clark of Sterling, CO; and companion, Debbie White of Greeley.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at the Greeley Country Club at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2013.
