Christopher James Hernandez passed away unexpectedly June 19, 2013 in Brush, Colorado.
He was born October 14, 1993, in Billings, Montana.
He was an avid hunter as well as fisherman. He also loved everyone he met!
Chris never had a bad thing to say about anyone, and no one could resist his smile. He loved family as well as children and they loved him. Chris had a heart of gold and would take the shirt off his back for anyone, even a stranger.
He loved working with his hands on automotives and he loved baseball and always wanted to play baseball professionally.
Christopher was one of the most courageous, strong, and resilient young men, who faced many obstacles in his life, but managed to still retain his beautiful loving and caring spirit. We are so very blessed to be able to have spent 19 years with him.
His life was cut short too soon, but every moment will be forever cherished. We will especially miss his hugs and his amazing sense of humor.
He will always be in our hearts and a piece of us will be missing until we meet again.
He was preceded in death by his brother Kiko Hernandez, his grandfather Bruce, and grandmother Hernandez.
He is survived by his mother Cynthia, a step-father Jack, his grandmother Elsie, big sisters Grace, Marie, Annelise and Alexandra, his brothers John, Tim, Steven, Cody, and his brother-in-laws Jose and Mike. He was a proud uncle to his nephews and nieces Angel, Dominic, Israel, Caden, Elias, Isaac, Lucy, and India Jane, and is survived by various other aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held June 29, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Emmanuel Evangelical Church, 318 West 7th Avenue, Fort Morgan, Colorado.
A memorial fund has been established in his name and donations can be mailed to: Christopher Hernandez Memorial Fund, Guaranty Bank, 101 West Centennial Drive, Bennett Colorado 80102.
