Craig Joseph Schneider Obituary
Craig Joseph Schneider, 64, of Brush, passed away February 19, 2014, peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.
Craig was born in Chicago, IL, to Norman Joseph I and Jane Schneider on October 15, 1949. He graduated from Marion Central Catholic High School in 1967.
Craig married Linda King, of Brush, on June 15, 1974. Together they had two children, Norman Joseph II and Wendy Lynn.
Craig worked for the Colorado State Patrol from 1975 to 1982. He then worked as a classified mechanic for Public Service Company of Colorado at the Pawnee Power Plant for 13 years. The job he loved the most was driving school bus for the Brush School District until illness forced his retirement in 2012.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the National Rifle Association and was a past president of the Morgan County Gun Club.
Craig is survived by his wife, Linda; his son, Norman and wife, Erica of Woodland Park, CO, and their two daughters, Kahlan and Keira; his daughter, Wendy Erickson and husband, Ian, of Peyton, Colorado and their daughter, Audrey; and a sister, Virginia Schneider of Denver, CO.
A Rosary will be Sunday, February 23, 2014, at 6 p.m. at Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush and a Memorial Mass will be Monday, February 24, 2014, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church also in Brush. Inurnment will follow at the Brush Memorial Cemetery at 1 p.m.
Memorial gifts may be given in Craig's name to Hospice of Northern Colorado, the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the ALS Association, or to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brush, CO.
Heer Mortuary and Crematory in Brush is entrusted with the arrangements.
