Mark D. Asper, 70, longtime area resident, died Sunday, May 19, 2013 at his home in Brush.
Mark was born April 13, 1943, in Mitchell, South Dakota to Dale and Beverly (Peterson) Asper. He moved with his family to the Brush area in 1951.
He was co-owner of Standard Motor Supply in Brush for many years.
Mark was an active member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brush. He was also a member of Pheasants Forever, and in his earlier years, the Jaycees.
He enjoyed traveling, taking long walks with Beverly, and riding his bicycle.
Survivors include, Beverly, whom he has made his life with for the last 14 years, of Brush, her children, Sherri Ficco of Brush, and Michael Waite of Casper, Wyoming, and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Mark was preceded in death by an infant sister Jill, and his parents.
Memorial services will be Thursday, May 23, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brush. Services will conclude at the church.
Memorial gifts may be made to the local Humane Society.
The Heer Mortuary in Brush is in charge of the arrangements.
