Luella Ruth Peterson, 77, of Brush, passed away October 11, 2013.
She was born on February 10, 1936, in Greeley, Colorado to Harold and Mildred Freeman. She graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1954.
She married Henry Langlois on January 11, 1958. They had three children, twins, Crystal and Kyle and Kevin. Henry died in 1966.
Luella married Harold Peterson on July 7, 1973 He had two children, Teresa and Tanna. They lived south of Brush for many years.
She worked for Dr. Sugihara and Schlumberger Well Services, and B&B Pharmacy in Brush. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Brush.
She was a member of the "Plum Crazies" Red Hat Group and a member of the Brush Hospital Auxiliary and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Luella enjoyed working in the yard, gardening and scrapbooking, but most of all she loved being with her family and grandchildren and Red Hat Group.
Survivors include four children, Crystal (David) Anderson of Denver, Kevin Langlois of Loveland, Tanna Church of Farmington, NM and Teresa Higgins of Corpus Cristi, TX. She is also survived by five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one brother and three sisters.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry; son, Kyle Langlois; two sisters and her parents and then her husband, Newt, in 2011.
A memorial service will be Friday, October 18, 2013, at the Brush United Methodist Church at 10 a.m.
