Mrs. Claire Mae Walls Vangiller, 66, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014, at home while surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Vangiller was retired as a housekeeper for Dykes Construction and attended The Bridge in Pembroke. She loved shopping, the beach and most of all the company of her family. She is now resting in peace with her family that has gone on before her. She has fought hard for a long time.
Survivors include her son, Edward Geiger of Ellabell; daughters and sons-in-law, Joan Wilkes and Jerry Smith of Ellabell, Lisa and Tony Beasley of Metter and Kathy Cribbs and Jack Monroe of Aline; brothers, Freddie Walls of Cobbtown, Tinnie Walls of Ludowici and Eddie Walls of Reidsville; sisters, Louise Williams and Dolly Crosby, both of Ellabell, and Phyllis Tyre of Savannah; 10 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ray Hargette officiating. Interment will follow in Northside Cemetery.
Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
