Eric L. Durden, 61, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah.
Mr. Durden lived in Richmond Hill for the past 24 years and was the owner of Vantage Installation. He loved skiing and the water and was a former member of the Marine Rescue Squadron, a member of the Keller Flats Patrol and an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He was a devoted husband, father and daddy. He was known as "Mr. Money" by the baseball players he coached.
He was preceded in death by his son, Dallas Aaron Durden.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Butler Durden of Richmond Hill; daughter, Ashley Erica Durden Wolfe (Aaron) of Savannah; one grandchild on the way, Dallas Jonathan Wolfe; a sister, Sandy Durden Glick (Darrell) of Pooler; and a brother, Leo Durden (Debbie) of Port Wentworth.
The funeral is at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, at Richmond Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Bryan Neck Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
