Ethel Johnson, 86, passed peacefully Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, her birthday, at home with her son at her bedside under the care of Savannah Hospice.
She was a member of the Macadonia Baptist Church of Ellabell, where she served as a deaconess. She retired from One Hour Valley Dry Cleaners.
She is survived by her loving son, Craig Van (Deloris) of Bloomingdale, and a host of other relatives and friends.
A home-going celebration is at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at Macadonia Baptist Church in Ellabell with the Rev. G.R. Conner officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
A viewing is from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home Pembroke Chapel.
