Frances M. Turner, 90, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at Bryan County Health and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness.
She was a lifelong resident of Richmond Hill and a member of Richmond Hill First Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. She loved to fish and garden and was a devout Christian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.F. Turner.
She is survived by two sons, J.F. Turner Jr. of Midway and Larry Turner of Richmond Hill; two stepdaughters, Fredra Lastinger and Wanda Rodman; one stepson, Jerry Turner; a brother, J.C. Herrin of Jesup; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; numerous step-great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel in Richmond Hill. Burial will follow in Richmond Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Buddy Wasson officiating.Pallbearers are Randy Butler, Robert Parker, Jerry Bragg, Bobby Carpenter, Harold Eckhoff and Theron Darieng. Honorary pallbearers are James Turner, John Turner, Michelle Turner and Brandy Cochran.
Visitation is an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
