John H. Sharp

Richmond Hill
John H. Sharp, 54, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at Memorial University Health Center in Savannah after a lengthy illness.
He was an operational team leader for Georgia Power Co. having worked for them for 27 years. He was a member of the Offshore Outlaws fishing club in Richmond Hill. He had a heart of gold. He lived life to the fullest every single day. No matter how tough things got, he still managed to smile and make the most out of it. He was the strongest man anyone has ever met and he fought until the end. His will to live could never be matched by anyone. He was a fighter that loved a great challenge. He loved his family more than anything in this world. He spoiled his boys with more than toys, he passed on his passion for saltwater fishing and hunting.
His loving wife never left his side since day one. The care she gave to him was unremarkable. The love they had for one another was untouchable, a true love story that will live forever in our hearts. He left a mark on every single person he met, he was unforgettable, always will be. Forever and always, Kiddo, we love you!
He was preceded in death by his father, Eldred Eugene Sharp.
He is survived by his wife, Jenny Sharp; children, Hunter Owens and Saylor Owens; his mother, Martha McCarty Sharp; sisters, Nancy Sharp, Deborah Scheufens, Beth Powell and Kaye Sharp; and brothers, Gene Sharp, Bill Sharp, Bob Sharp and Sam Sharp.
Visitation is from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.
