Mrs. Allie Linza Jay Wilson, 71, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014, at Ogeechee Area Hospice surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Wilson was former resident of Pembroke, a homemaker and a member of Abundant Life Church of God in Pembroke. She loved her family and gardening, especially flowers, and reading the Bible and the newspaper.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of 30 years, Burnice D. Polk; her husband of 25 years, Thurston L. Wilson; her parents, Idis Perry and Ella Jones Jay; and two sons, Joe Rex Polk and Marvin Franklin Polk.
She is survived by daughters, Joann Bragg of Ellabell and Ramona Steverson of Macon; step-children, Shirley Mayo of Mississippi and Joyce Powell of Jackson; son, Julian D. Polk of Jackson; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and other family members.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday, March 14, at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel in Pembroke. Interment will follow in Northside Cemetery.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
