David Stephen Borg, 56, died Monday, April 29, 2013, after a brief illness.
Mr. Borg was born in Savannah and lived in Richmond Hill for the past 30 years. He was the owner of Borg Construction Company and was a very talented brick mason. He loved the water and was an avid fisherman. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a member of Christian Missionary Alliance Church. He was a friend to all.
He was preceded in death by his mother, June Wise Borg; and a daughter, Alissa Luke.
He is survived by his daughter, Crystal (Peter) Wiley of Bethlehem; his father, Russell (Maggie) Borg of Savannah; brother, Leon Russell (Nancy) Borg Jr. of Suwanee; and his grandchildren that he loved dearly, Jordan, Lorelei, Juliet, Violet, Lakelyn and Caleb.
The funeral is at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Richmond Hill Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Ether officiating. Interment is at 10 a.m. Thursday at Richmond Hill First Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Richmond Hill Funeral Home.
