Mrs. Mattie Bell Murray Harrison, age 85 of Pembroke, passed on Sunday, Dec. 23 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah, after a brief illness. She was a McDuffie County native having resided in Bryan County for many years. She was a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church of Statesboro.
She is survived by her husband, Mr. Orell Natson of Pembroke; nine daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Pretlow of Savannah, Mrs. Willie Sue Fowler of Atlanta, Mrs. Ruby (Harris) Brewton, Mrs. Sherry (Willie) Thompson, Mrs. Brenda (Aronald) Thompson, Mrs. Susie Murray, all of Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. Robbie (Bill) Bing, Mrs. Ida (Warren) Clark, and Mrs. Linda Martin, all of Pembroke; three sons, Mr. Thomas (Mary) Harrison of Savannah, Mr. Donnie Natson of Pembroke, and Mr. Gregory Natson of Philadelphia; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Bell Harrison will be Saturday Dec. 29, 2012 at 2 p.m. at St. John A.M.E Church, Pembroke, with the Pastor George Bush officiating. Interment will be held in Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Family visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 from 6-7 p.m. at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Pembroke Chapel.
