Sallie R. Barratta, 71, died Thursday, April 5, at home after a brief illness under the care of Hospice Savannah.
The Guest Book is expired.
She was born in Statesboro and has lived in Richmond Hill the past 49 years. She kept the nursery at St. Anne's Catholic Church for several years.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ormond D. Barratta.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Milton J. Barratta Sr. of Richmond Hill; children: Milton J. Barratta J. of Bloomingdale, Oneita Louise Barratta of Fort Pierce, Fla., Velinda Burnsed (Dennis) of Pooler, Nicholas A. Barratta (Lisa) of Ellabell, James L. Barratta of Pooler, Cecilia Stender (Scott) of Richmond Hill; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday, April 8, at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 9, at Oglethorpe Memorial Park in Hinesville with Father Douglas K. Clark officiating.
