Richard McDonald, 63, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at Hospice Savannah.
Mr. McDonald was born in Valdosta, where he lived most of his life before moving to Midway. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Vietnam War. He was a print press operator for International Greetings Inc. in Midway. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and his family.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sheila Cox McDonald; his parents, Burton and Dorothy McDonald; and his brother-in-law, Emmett Cook.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy McDonald; his daughter, Linda Williams (Royce); his grandchildren, Jacob Williams and Tyler Williams; his sisters, Anne Cook and Carole Isaacs (Lonnie); his brothers, Burton McDonald (Nancy), Gerald McDonald (Debbie), Kenneth McDonald and David McDonald (Sandy); and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 24, at Richmond Hill Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
