Richmond Hill
Evelyn LaVerne Lewis Brannen, 77, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Bryan County Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Ms. Brannen was the only daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter H. Lewis of Pembroke and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and Sunday school in Richmond Hill. She was a former secretary for Calvary Day School and an administrative assistant for Candler/St. Joseph's Children's House (1984-1992).
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Bennie Barrow.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Sherry Brannen of Richmond Hill; a daughter, Michelle Barrow of Ellabell; and four grandchildren, Sarah Brannen, Scott Brannen, Jesse Barrow and Joshua Barrow.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, at Richmond Hill Funeral Home Cox Chapel. Burial will follow in Northside Cemetery in Pembroke.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to Hospice Savannah, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, Ga. 31416.
