Dave Allen Ruth, Jr.
CASSOPOLIS MI: Dave Allen Ruth, Jr., 35, of Cassopolis, died Thursday, April 18, 2013 in his residence.
Dave was born December 8, 1977 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Dave and Nora (Emory) Ruth. He married Sarah Jean Thornton July 23, 2005 in Rawlins, Wyoming. His parents and wife survive him. He was preceded in death by one son, Spencer Ruth; and his maternal grandparents LeRoy Emory and Laura Stroup.
Dave was an engineer for Canadian Pacific Railway. He was a loyal family man and enjoyed playtime with his sons. He will live on through Shane and Jack. He loved his garden and fixing up his antique tractors.
Dave will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Jean (Thornton) Ruth of Cassopolis; three sons, Rick Flores, Shane Douglas Ruth, Jackson Isaac Ruth; parents, Dave, Sr. and Nora (Emory) Ruth of Galion, Ohio; paternal grandparents, Walter and Ruth (Pratt) Ruth of Bucyrus, Ohio; and one sister, Dorinda Ruth, Galion, Ohio.
Family and friends will gather Monday, April 22, 2013 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 202 North Broadway Street, Cassopolis, with a Service of Remembrance at 7:00 p.m. A portion of Mr. Ruth's remains will be returned to his family homestead in Ohio.
