Vera J. Eicher
BUCYRUS: Vera J. Eicher, 74 of Chatfield passed away Friday February 1, 2013 in Bucyrus Community Hospital following an extended illness.
Vera was born November 16, 1938 in Bucyrus to the late Irvin and Lalah (Cover) Pfleiderer. She was married June 6, 1956 to Charles Eicher who preceded her in death on December 13, 2010.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother Daryl and sisters Lois, Ireata, Inez, and Joyce.
Vera is survived by children, Marsha (Nick) Marks of Dallas, TX, Randy Eicher (Barb Teynor), Bucyrus, Lisa (Terry) Leonhart, New Washington; grandchildren Nichole (Toby) Speck, Dawn (Matt) Carey, Shawn Marks, Chrystal (BJ) Blakley, Chris Eicher, Lindsey (Roger) Johnson, Lauren (Mike) Dean; 11 great- grandchildren; brothers-in-law Richard and Carl Eicher; sister-in-law Irene Lee.
Vera graduated from Holmes Liberty H.S. in 1956. She worked at North Electric, Chatfield Hardware, and Herald Printing in New Washington as well as tending the family farm. Vera was a former longtime member of Nazareth Lutheran Church and currently a member of Evangelical Pietist Church. She was a member of the Am. Legion Aux. Post #405, New Washington and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Evangelical Pietist Church, Chatfield with Rev. Larry Bertsch officiating, burial will follow in the Nazareth Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Chatfield Village Fire Dept. or the Pietist Food Pantry through the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home and expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com

I met Vera at church several years ago and just recently had the pleasure of taking care of her for her short stay with us at Bloomville Ruffing Care Center. What a wonderful and lively lady she was..I so enjoyed her. I am so sorry to hear she passed away.
