Hubert N. Rigdon
GALION: Hubert N. Rigdon, 81, of Galion, died Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus after a sudden illness at home Saturday.
Born April 22, 1931 in Marion, he was the son of the late Lester and Allura Mae (Dome) Rigdon. He married Lila A. (Niedermier) Rigdon on July 17, 1953 who survives.
Hubert served as a corporal in United States Army in Germany during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge he went on to be a self-employed salesman and businessman, also owning a stump removal business. A good provider for his family, he liked being a family man and raising five children. The ultimate wheeler/dealer, he will be remembered for always going to flea markets and negotiating bargains. Hubert and Lila enjoyed their time together, especially traveling in their trailer. Never one to sit still, he always kept busy. Described as hobbyist and man of many talents, Hubert was also a radio control aircraft operator.
In addition to his wife other survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Dolores and Gene Moody of Galion and Darlene and Bill Sheffer of Mansfield; two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Tracy Rigdon of Crestline and Douglas and Laura Rigdon of Galion and eight grandchildren, Dawn Nunn, Diana Gregory, Chad Rigdon, Amber Rigdon, Scott Rigdon, Cara Rigdon, Becca Rigdon and Sam Rigdon; 20 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Rilla Christman of Caledonia and Nona Thomas of London, Ohio.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded by one son, David Rigdon; one brother, Lester; and four sisters, Grace, Arlene, Geneva and Zella.
Private services will be held for Hubert's family. Arrangements are in the care of Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans in care of Richardson-Davis Funeral Home, 218 S. Market Street, Galion, Ohio 44833.

Dear Aunt Lila, and Aunt Nona; Just to let you both know that we(Martha, Roy, and Steve Rigdon) love you both and are praying for you all.
My dad(Lester-JUNIOR)was so blessed and pleased that Lila, and Hubert visited us in Monroe, NC about a year before my dad passed away.
