Ann L. (Schira) Wolfe

ONTARIO: Ann L. (Schira) Wolfe, 83, of Ontario, Ohio, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013, after a short illness. She was born on December 7, 1929 in Carey Ohio, to Joseph A. and Velma R. Schira.

She was a proud graduate of Carey High School and Tiffin Business School, and brightened the hallways of her employment positions which included secretary of the Ontario United Methodist Church, and Ontario Village Clerk and Treasurer. Ann was also an officer of the Mansfield Woman's club, and a 50+ year member of the Ontario United Methodist Church.

Ann's passions were her family and community, staying in touch with the Carey girls, bridge club, book club, puzzles, needlework, reading, and music. She was known for always bursting into a song when prompted by a comment or passing phrase.

She is survived by husband of 63 years, Robert L Wolfe; children Deborah Langford (Northfield), Dan (Diane) Wolfe (Westerville), Diana Wolfe (Columbus), and Molly Wolfe (Hilliard); grandmother of Rachel (Ryan) Boyle (Carlsbad, CA), Joshua Langford (Columbus), Benjamin Langford (Columbus), Kristi Wolfe (League City, TX), Julie Wolfe (Grand Rapids, MI), and great grandmother of Alison Boyle. She is also survived by a sister, Cora Ellen Hosler (Avon) and numerous extended family members. Her brother Thomas Schira preceded her in death.

Viewing hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario, Ohio. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Ontario United Methodist Church, 3450 Park Avenue West, Ontario, Ohio conducted by Pastor Sondra Snode. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ontario United Methodist Church.
