BUCYRUS: Barbara Brown, 77, formerly of Bucyrus and most recently of Loudenville passed away Saturday at Colonial Manor Health Care Center in Loudenville.
Barbara was born July 18, 1935 in Marion to the late Ralph and Julia (Alexander) Snook. She was married Aug. 21, 1954 to Harold E. Brown who preceded her in death on March 9, 2011.
Barbara is survived by daughter Terry (Don) Aker, Perrysville, OH; grandson Ryan Aker, Perrysville; granddaughter Allison Dadoun of San Mateo, CA; great grandson Brandan; sister Elizabeth Oswalt of Bucyrus; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son David Brown in 1984; brothers John and Ralph; as well as sister Mary.
Barb loved to read, play cards, bowl, boating at Lake Erie and singing in her church choir at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. At one time Barb was President of the Ladies Aux. of the American Legion Post 181. Barb had worked at Isaly's and was a bookkeeper for Bucyrus Road Materials, Stumps Trucking, and Galion Manufacturing.
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am in Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Don Neumann officiating.
