Leah Jean Kellogg

SAN JOSE, CA: Leah Jean Kellogg, age 99, of San Jose, California and formerly of Nevada, Ohio, passed away on March 23, 2013 in the Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose.

She was born on April 9, 1913 in Wyandot County to Nevin and Emma (Larick) Kotterman, both of whom are deceased. She married Charles Kellogg on August 19, 1934 and he died in May 8,1982.

Leah Jean is survived by a daughter, Judy (David) Small of San Jose; and a son, Thomas (Sandra) Kellogg of San Jose; along with seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a sister Virginia (Gerald) Ekleberry of Bucyrus, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Hedrick; three brothers, James, Glen and Robert Kotterman; and a sister, Wilda McBride.

Leah Jean was a homemaker and worked for many years at the Timken Company in Bucyrus. She was a member of the Nevada Methodist Church. For hobbies, she enjoyed crocheting and sewing.

A Celebration of Life for Leah Jean Kellogg was held in San Jose by her family. Burial will take place at Nevada Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Nevada United Methodist Church and can be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 401 S. Main St. Nevada, Ohio, 44849.
