NEW WINCHESTER: Pastor Billy Chatman, 76, of New Winchester went to be with the Lord at 7:30 am Sunday Nov. 18, 2012 in his home surrounded by family.

Billy was born April 8, 1936 in Roderfield, W. Virginia to the late Henry and Francis (Massey) Chatman. He was married in Pontiac Michigan Nov. 23, 1962 to Mary J. (Foley) Chatman who survives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Jean Nichols and brother Bobbie Chatman.

Also surviving are children Marlin (Linda) Alberty of Galion; Bob (Connie) Alberty of McConnellsville, OH; Louie (Amy "Rieko") Alberty, N. Robinson; Tom (Dianne) Alberty, New Winchester; Bill Chatman, Bucyrus; grandchildren, Mark Alberty, Deanna Meadows; Shawn Alberty, Heather Hynus, and Tiffany Boring; Louie Alberty, Kenje Alberty and Jodi Britt; Teena Chatman and Tom Alberty; Misty Chatman and Macy Chatman; 29 great grandchildren; brother Jack Chatman, W. Virg.; and sister Wanda Smith of N. Carolina.

Pastor Billy Chatman moved to this area in 1959 and retired from Peabody in Galion in 1988. He was the Pastor of Pentecostal House of Faith in New Winchester which he established in 1989. A Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Billy enjoyed Hunting and Fishing, especially at Lake Erie which he referred to as "His Rest Home".

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 3:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Pastors Tyrone Trujillo and Evan Wesley officiating, burial will be in Crawford County Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 pm until the time of service.
